The Discovery Hull Theater showcases “Port of Victory,” a film chronicling the history of the Port of Mobile during World War II. Mobile and the Port of Mobile emerged as a crucial center for shipbuilding efforts during World War II. The city became home to several major shipyards, including the Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding Company and the Gulf Shipbuilding Corporation.
